Baker Hall is centrally located on campus and is home to approximately 500 students. It is also home to the Baker Residential Academic & Research Program, which emphasizes natural sciences and the environment for students in the College of Arts and Sciences. Participation in BRAP is mandatory for all Baker residents. This hall, which was reopened in 2014 after significant renovation, was just awarded LEED Platinum staus for it's sustainable design and functionality. Students in programs in either the College of Arts and Sciences or the College of Architecture and Planning live here. Many students are majoring in biology, environmental studies, geology, anthropology, and astronomy.
