The Dalton Trumbo Fountain Area is named for screenwriter and free-speech advocate Dalton Trumbo, who attended CU for two years before leaving to pursue his career as a writer. The fountain is a popular gathering place for student groups to gather and express their views, run through the fountains, or enjoy lunch on a sunny day.
