2024 Interdisciplinary Ethics Tech Competition – Saturday, February 3, 2024 - $10,000 Scholarship Prize for 1st Place Team!

Mark your calendar for the annual Interdisciplinary Ethics Tech Competition, brought to you by the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative Collegiate Programs at Colorado Law and the Leeds School of Business, and Silicon Flatirons!

Event Summary

The Interdisciplinary Ethics Tech Competition provides students with the chance to grapple with real-world ethics-in-technology problems in collaboration with a diverse team of law, business, communications, engineering, information science, and computer science students.  Students work as part of an interdisciplinary team on a case problem similar to what they are likely to encounter after graduation. Such practice-based learning and collaborations can help prepare students for the types of problem-solving teamwork they will experience throughout their careers, as well as help position them to be ethical members of professional teams. In fact, many of our alumni have reported back that their experience with the IETC made them stand out in interviews and helped them get a job due to the unique and relevant skills gained in the competition!

Each team will present recommendations to panels of judges selected for their expertise in the different fields. The first-place team will receive a $10,000 scholarship award, divided evenly among the team members.
