Act On It: Exhibit on CU Student Activism

Act On It: Student Activism at the University of Colorado explores CU’s rich tradition of social activism. The exhibit, by graduate student, Claire Steffen, is showing now through summer in Norlin's STEAM gallery, southwest second floor.

Since the 1960s, CU students have protested, rallied, and marched. They staged hunger strikes, teach-ins, and built shantytowns. Students opposed war, violence, and bigotry; demanded diversity and fought for equal rights.  Visit Norlin Library to explore this history and consider how you could “act on it”.

Claire Steffen is a second-year master’s student in the Museum and Field Studies Program. After graduating in May, she plans to pursue a career as an exhibit and program developer in a history museum.
