This event is for Academic Leaders. Participants will understand the motivating and organizational influences related to Black, Indigenous, and people of color communities (BIPOC) turnover in predominantly white institutions (PWIs). Participants will develop a deeper understanding of the lived experiences and challenges faced by BIPOC employees at PWIs. Many personal and institutional factors impact the retainment and persistence of BIPOC employees; therefore, participants will learn concrete action steps they can take to implement and create a sense of belonging, and efforts to improve the experiences and retainment of BIPOC employees in PWIs.
