The Distinguished Speakers Board welcomes free solo climber and TV host Alex Honnold.

Alex is best known for his high-stakes free solo climbing and multiple award-winning publications, making him a recognized figure in Boulder. He is the star of Free Solo, which chronicled the first-ever ropeless ascent of Yosemite’s El Capitan. His latest endeavor, On the Edge with Alex Honnold on Disney+, explores climate change through climbing in Greenland.

Student and faculty/staff tickets will only be available in-person on the first floor of the University Memorial Center (UMC). They can be purchased starting October 11, Monday– Friday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. $2 students, $10 staff/faculty with valid Buff OneCard. Cash only.

Limited general public tickets will be available online only via Eventbrite for $15.

Boulder County’s current public health orders will require all attendees wear masks.
