About this Event
Join us for an interactive workshop called "Aliveness as Resistance: Surviving While Black" with Dr. Jazmyne Peters who is the embedded therapist for Arts and Sciences.
Dr. Peters will lead an interactive workshop, open to all graduate students, about trauma, wellness, and healing Black bodies and minds. We will all have the opportunity to discuss the emotional injury of anti-Black racism; deconstruct White supremacist characteristics that create and uphold anti-Black racism and promote unwellenss; and decolonize the notion of "productivity" and "rest."
Join us by registering here for this workshop held virtually on May 3, 12-2pm. Please note that this workshop will not be recorded.
This workshop is supported through the Communication Graduate Student Association's Radical Inclusion Collective and in partnership with CMCI's Graduate Program Professional Development Liaison, Emily Loker.
