New to CU Research Computing, but don't know where to start? This Primer** is designed to give you an overview of Research Computing resources, procedures and best practices. You will learn how to log in, request allocations, store and transfer data, load software, run a job, and ask for help.

In order to follow along with the hands-on component of this session, you’ll want to have a Research Computing account and a laptop. If you need assistance with creating an account, please email rc-help@colorado.edu, attend CRDDS Consult Hours, or review our video on this topic. Please note that the steps for RMACC institutions are somewhat different; please email rc-help@colorado.edu to create your account.

** What is a Primer? A Primer is a session that provides an introduction to concepts, systems, and tools. You can expect to leave a Primer with an introductory-level understanding of the topic.

Registration is required. Zoom information will be sent in the confirmation email.
