Offered during the final week #3 of ATLAS' exciting new Summer School, "Electronic Language as Raw Material" is a one-week workshop class from July 22-26 with Alison Parrish, creative technologist, game designer and NYU ITP faculty member. This workshop introduces techniques for computationally manipulating this complex materiality of language for creative, expressive and anarchic purposes. Using the Python programming language, we'll explore an eclectic cross-section of topics, including chatbots, asemic writing, textual interfaces, parametric typography, sound poetry and interactive fiction.
