#SustainableBuffsThe campus has sustainability goals, outlined in the Climate Action Plan (CAP), to reduce emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieve zero emissions by 2050. Equity, justice, and accountability are important aspects to the success of meeting our goals. The IPCC Summary for Policy Makers 2023 report made clear with high confidence that equity and justice are critical for mitigating climate change. These efforts will have impact on:
Faculty, staff, and student engagement
Support for leaderships goals and strategies
Expanding the positive impact of the CAP beyond campus walls
Participants will be introduced to the authors and their drafts of the climate justice and equity chapters for integrating into the CAP. We will continue to build momentum through bringing in new voices (yours!) and visions and planning for climate just futures at CU Boulder into 2050 and beyond.
All Buffs are welcome, but registration is requested- we will have a catered dinner (all diets considered) and space is limited to 40 people.
