Cannabis & Psychedelic Symposium
The 2019 Cannabis and Psychedelic Symposium will continue previous years' efforts to provide high quality public education on drugs and drug policy. This year, the symposium will feature five professional panels, an information fair and three keynote speakers:
- Marty Otañez will deliver the Opening Plenary on the value of public education and academic research on cannabis and psychedelics.
- Ricardo Baca will give the Media Literacy Keynote, sharing his personal account of professional cannabis journalism and culture change in Colorado.
- Dawn Paley, author of Drug War Capitalism, will deliver the Closing Plenary on the interconnection of drug prohibition policies, violence and neoliberalism in Latin America.
