We invite teachers, students, families, librarians and all who are concerned about book bans and challenges to join us for a free Panel on Book Censorship and Honoring the Right to Read in K-8 Schools and Libraries at the Canyon Theater & Gallery - Boulder Public Library (Main Library).
The panel will include a local teacher and parent, a librarian, and children's book author to discuss the current climate on book challenges. Opportunity to purchase the festival authors' books, signing, and a reception will follow the panel.
This event is part of CU Boulder Center for Humanities and the Arts' 2023 – 2024 academic year programming theme ‘Liberty, Freedom, Democracy: The Fight for Ideas’. This event is partnered with the CU Boulder School of Education, Boulder Book Store and the CU Boulder Center for Humanities and the Arts.
