Join the Center for Humanities & the Arts (CHA) for Pomodoro-inspired writing sessions designed to boost focus, momentum, and community! Whether you're writing, crafting, or tackling any task, these sessions help you overcome procrastination with focused intervals and regular social breaks for stretching, conversation, and snacks.

What is the Pomodoro Technique?

This time management method divides work into 45-minute intervals, called "Pomodoros," followed by short breaks, helping you build momentum and make tasks feel more manageable.

 

Session Details:

  • When: Every Thursday from Feb. 13–April 24
  • Time: 1–4 p.m.
  • Location: CHA Conference Room, RM 201 - Macky Auditorium
  • Open to: Staff, faculty, and graduate students

 

Session Overview:

  • 1–1:45 p.m.: Silent writing session
  • 1:45–2 p.m.: 15-minute break (stretch, socialize, snacks)
  • 2–2:45 p.m.: Resume writing
  • 2:45–3 p.m.: 15-minute break
  • 3–3:45 p.m.: Resume writing
  • 3:45–4 p.m.: 15-minute break

 

To participate, sign up for 45-minute sessions and feel free to join multiple times each Thursday!
