Do you love horses and horse culture? Are you interested in Mexican and Mexican-American history and culture? Then come join the Center of the American West during CU Boulder’s Culture Crawl for “Charreria on Parade” where we bring our photography exhibit about the national sport of Mexico alive in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. From 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25 you’ll find us out from Macky Auditorium and along Pleasant Street with the horses and riders featured in the exhibit “Charreria: Exploring the Human-Horse Connection in Mexican Rodeo.” Meet gentle, beautiful horses from a variety of sport and performance breeds here in Colorado and learn more about them from their riders dressed in official charro and charra uniforms. Riders will also be on hand to answer any questions you might have.

While there, you are invited up the Center of the American West on the 2nd floor of Macky to visit the exhibit where the exhibit’s photographer and CU alum, Chris Sessions, will be on hand to give tours. There will also be opportunities to learn more about the Center of the American West and how students can get further involved. Refreshments will be provided.
