Chords and Codons: Music about Science

The hour-long event features six pieces of music—four recorded electronic pieces, accompanied by animations and visualizations, and two live. The electronic pieces are by a University of Edinburgh student and four CU Boulder students; two of the electronic compositions incorporate poetry on a scientific theme written by Scottish poets. The live pieces feature musicians from CU Boulder's School of Music, the Biofrontiers Institute and  Colin Campbell, senior lecturer in medicinal and biological chemistry from University of Edinburgh's School of Chemistry, and Fulbright award recipient, who inspired the work.
