Cinema Studies Internship Orientation

Spring 2023 Internship Orientation
hosted by Geoff Marslett

(pizza will be provided to attendees)

A one-hour presentation on cinema related internship opportunities during your time as a student at CU Boulder.

We will cover:
  • Basic benefits of participating in an internship program
  • Types of commitments required by internships (and paid vs. unpaid)
  • How to research and apply for internships
  • What types of internships qualify for credit, and how many hours credit you can receive
  • The process for applying for credit
  • Best practices for evaluating an internship's benefit to you personally
  • When to apply to internships

The orientation will be followed by a 10-minute break and then a series of short pitches by companies seeking CU Boulder interns. These will be a mix of zoom presentations, prerecorded presentations and basic information presented. These will all be companies actively seeking interns. This will last approximately 45 minutes (from 3:45-4:30 p.m.) in the same room.

Please join us, the event is open to all Cinema Studies and Moving Image Arts majors and minors. We encourage you to attend the entire event, but feel free to join us for either portion if you have a full schedule.
