Classroom Management

With Teresa Wroe, Senior Director of Education and Prevention and Julie Volckens, Director of Assessment, Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance

This session will focus on how to effectively create classroom norms for cultivating a respectful and inclusive classroom environment. Participants will also discuss scenarios and practice managing challenging student behavior. This workshop does NOT fulfill the mandatory online Skillsoft training.

This workshop will take place remotely, via Zoom. You will need to be logged in to Zoom with your CU credentials to access this session.

Slides will be shared with participants. Live captioning and ASL interpretation are available upon request. Email CTL@colorado.edu to request accommodations. We will attempt to fulfill all requests, but cannot guarantee requests made within 7 days of the event.

This session is part of the CTL’s Fall Intensive, an annual event supporting the development of graduate students as teaching scholars. The workshops are designed to help you teach at CU Boulder, begin your professional development in postsecondary education, and explore nonacademic job opportunities. While sessions are designed for graduate students, many are applicable to any educator new to CU Boulder and anyone is welcome at any event.
