CUmulus is a new cloud computing resource hosted by CU Research Computing that enables researchers at CU Boulder as well as institutions in the Rocky Mountain Advanced Computing Consortium (RMACC) to create applications and workflows that may not fit as well into the traditional high performance computing environment. CUmulus offers the ability to create and administer custom Linux virtual machines (VMs) for a variety of applications. CUmulus is free-to-use, and is an ideal entry into cloud computing for novice users who may not yet be comfortable using commercial cloud providers.  Additional info on CUmulus:
