About this Event
We welcome faculty, staff and students to join us for the 2022-23 Coffee and Conversations on Community Engagement series starting on Sept. 15, Noon - 1 p.m. Faculty and staff members from our office and CU Engage will discuss the language our units use to describe our work and some examples from other disciplinary areas.
Coffee & Converstations brings faculty, staff and students together to explore themes in community-engaged scholarship--from the language we use to social issues we address to how we build relationships with external community partners. These informal events are designed for conversation and opportunities to workshop ideas. We learn together with help from colleagues across campus, as well as staff from the Office for Outreach and Engagement and CU Engage. Those new to outreach and community-engaged scholarship and veteran practitioners are welcome.
If you have a class or meeting that overlaps with a Coffee & Conversations event, please don't hesitate to join us late. These are informal events.
Coffee and Conversations are hosted by the Office for Outreach and Engagement, in collaboration with CU Engage, the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Volunteer Resource Center. If you are interested in presenting at a Coffee and Conversations event, please complete and submit this form. Please contact Lisa Schwartz with questions.
This year four of these monthly events (3rd Thursdays from Noon - 1:00 p.m.) will be held in person at the Center for Teaching and Learning and three will be virtual. See individual events for details.
