Coffee & Conversations on Community Engagement: What is community-engaged scholarship?

Want to learn about or connect with others interested in outreach and community-engaged research, teaching and creative work?

Join us virtually to learn about and discuss "What is community-engaged scholarship?" with David Meens, PhD, director of the Office for Outreach and Engagement and Roudy Hildreth, PhD, director of CU Engage. The conversation will draw from Boyer's (1996) seminal article The Scholarship of Engagement—feel free to take a look before you attend. You can find more information on community-engaged scholarship here.
Faculty, staff and students (new to the work or experienced in community engagement) are invited to drop in anytime and invite their colleagues to these informal community-building opportunities. Coffee & Conversations are a fun way for attendees to connect with others from across campus, including staff from the Office for Outreach and Engagement and CU Engage, while they also learn from one another and generate informal conversation about key topics related to working with communities external to CU Boulder.
The Coffee & Conversations on Community Engagement series is sponsored by the Office for Outreach and Engagement and CU Engage. We connect research, teaching and creative work with communities across Colorado and beyond, and help to develop and support mutually beneficial partnerships.
