Learn about CollectionBuilder, an open-source framework for building and publishing digital collections and exhibits. Created by a team of open scholars and librarians at University of Idaho, CollectionBuilder leverages free and common research tools to create dynamic and interactive digital archives on the web, without a web developer and web hosting fees. In this workshop, we'll explore the features of CollectionBuilder, examples of its use in public and digital humanities contexts, and gently walk-through the technical requirements. In the process you'll learn a little about digital curation, GitPages, Markdown, GitHub, metadata, and data hygiene; and by the end you'll have an outlined plan to help you build your own digital archive for your research, course, and/or community, using CollectionBuilder.

This is a beginner workshop, all are welcome. A follow-up clinic for participants will be held on December 8, 11a-1p.

Prerequisites: None.
