This is not a class, a lecture, or a panel. This is a guided conversation and a place for students who are looking for a like-minded community of peers who are active in furthering their knowledge in the ever-changing world of climate change. It’s about learning how to make the world a better place through your expertise and care for the planet.

"The term “sustainability” is used so freely, it’s difficult to understand what it can mean.  Bring what you already know and tap into the suggested media offered each week. It is designed for community building and conversations that are fuel for life-changing action. When you talk through these big issues with others, you discover insights and inspiration that are hard to find on your own. In our coming together we will create a personal network of shared stories and support that makes it easy to take action. In short, we will become part of a community for change.

This weeks discussion will focus on:

  • Social inequalities within our communities
  • Gentrification
  • Green infrastructure/ green space
  • Building sustainable communities

Optional multimedia learning materials:
