DESCRIPTION:This course certifies individuals as American Red Cross lifegua
 rds. Participants will learn the knowledge and skills to prevent\, recogni
 ze\, and respond to aquatic emergencies. Participants will also receive tr
 aining in First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.\nThis certif
 ication is accepted nationwide and is valid for two years. Participants mu
 st attend all classes in a session to complete the training. Participants 
 must be 15 years-old by the last day of class to be eligible.\n\nPrerequis
 ites:\n\nAbility to swim 300 yards continuously\, using the following stro
 kes for 100 yards each: Freestyle / Breaststroke / Freestyle & Breast stro
 ke combined.Surface dive to a minimum depth of 7-10 feet and retrieve a 10
 -pound weight.Swim 20 yards with a 10 lb. object using legs only.Ability t
 o swim 300 yards continuously\, using the following strokes for 100 yards 
 each: Freestyle / Breaststroke / Freestyle & Breast stroke combined.Prereq
