Sustainability on Tap
Upslope Brewing Company (East Boulder)
Wednesday, April 15
Hosted by the Sustainability Research Initiative (SRI), Sustainability on Tap is a monthly conversation series that brings sustainability research out of the classroom and into the community. Held this month at Wild Provisions, the event creates a relaxed, welcoming space for dialogue, curiosity, and connection with the broader Boulder community.
Rather than a traditional academic lecture, this series is designed to feel like a conversation: thought provoking, accessible, and grounded in real world impact. Each month features researchers and practitioners sharing ideas that connect complex research to everyday life.
This Month's Featured Speakers:
Isaiah Lyons-Galante: A PhD student in Environmental Studies at CU Boulder. He develops geospatial machine learning and remote sensing methods to track poverty and inequality in data-scarce regions, focusing on scaling research for real-world impact.
Dr. Srinivas Parinandi: An Associate Professor of Political Science at CU Boulder. He specializes in how institutional design and regulation influence energy and economic policy, utilizing spatial econometric modeling to study policy diffusion across U.S. states.
Join us for an informal evening of discussion over drinks, where you can engage directly with the people doing meaningful sustainability work at CU Boulder and beyond. Whether you’re deeply immersed in sustainability research or simply curious, come spark a new connection!
