Abstract:  A discussion of the techniques for robust professional software development guided by Test-Driven Development (TDD) with the goal of producing readable code that is more easily understood and maintained.

Bio: Bill has 37 years of industry experience, five as a digital hardware designer and another 32 in various software engineering positions. He has an extensive development and automated testing background specializing in Groovy/Java and has also worked developed in Python, Javascript, Ruby, C#, Smalltalk, etc. in various forms of Agile Development. He has primarily have done server-side coding (full-stack microservices) with a strong emphasis on Behavior Driven Development and Test Driven Development. He has taught Software Development Tools and Methodologies, Introduction to Computational Thinking, Object-Oriented Programming, the Professional Master’s Program Capstone, and the Freshman Year Seminar.
