CU in the Community: Holiday Card Making

Join the VRC for this simple and easy service project, building connections and expressing care via writing a letter or card.

Connect with other CU students and write a letter or card to community members who may be in need of some connection and cheer during this time. No experience or prior knowledge is required to participate; just bring yourself and your openness to connect with others in our community.

VRC student staff members will lead a brief icebreaker so we can get to know each other, share information about the communities we are serving, provide instructions for writing the cards, and host brief reflection activity.

How to participate

1. Sign up for a spot. You will receive an email confirmation with the Zoom link.

2. Log in at 5 p.m. MST on November 17 and hang out with us while we make cards together!

3. Drop off your completed cards at the VRC in UMC 458 by 5 p.m. MST  on Friday, November 20. VRC will deliver them safely to those we are serving.

You will need paper, an envelope and a writing utensil. You can use your own materials or use some of ours! Stop by the Volunteer Resource Center in UMC 458 during our business hours any time before 5 p.m. MST on Friday, November 13 to pick up paper/envelopes to participate in this project.
