CU in the Community: Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The Volunteer Resource Center, the Center for Inclusion and Social Change and the Environmental Center are teaming up to offer a one-time service opportunity in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. , on this nationally recognized day of service.

We are hosting a food and basic needs donation drop-off to benefit Community Food Share. There are two ways to get involved!

  • Donate non-perishable items.
  • Volunteer to help sort and manage donations at the drop-off site.

Please join us to spend a “day on” rather than a “day off” in service to our community membership facing food insecurity and those who have been impacted by the Marshall Fire.

CU in the Community offers opportunities for students and staff to connect with the community through volunteerism each semester in collaboration with local nonprofit organizations meeting real community needs in the Boulder area. Participants commit to a one-time volunteer project and gain understanding of social and environmental issues, engage in direct service, reflect on their impact and learn about continued engagement in communities.
