CU in the Community offers opportunities for students to connect with the community through volunteerism each semester in collaboration with local nonprofit organizations meeting real community needs in the Boulder area. Participants commit to a one time volunteer project of their choice and gain understanding of social and environmental issues, engage in direct service, reflect on their impact and learn about continued engagement in communities.

• Yard cleanup for elders around Boulder with Cultivate
• Meal preparation and site beautification at the TGTHR Boulder Youth Center (age 21+ only)
