Culture Crawl: Spine Poetry & Zine Making

Visit the Children's and Young Adult area on the 2nd floor, west side of Norlin Library to create your own spine poetry and zines.

Spine poems are created by using the titles of library books as lines of poetry. Discover how mixing and juxtaposing library resources can unlock humor, wonder, strangeness, or beauty and share your serendipitous creations on social media with #CUBlibrarypoems.

Zines are DIY, personal publications that offer underrepresented voices and alternative perspectives a platform and use affordable/repurposed materials. All supplies will be provided and feel free to bring your own. For those curious to learn more about zines, watch a short youtube video that can serve as a starting point. Or, you can check out our zine LibGuide.

The Culture Crawl is a campus-wide event celebrating several cultural heritage sites and groups at CU Boulder. Stop by the different locations and take part in immersive activities, performances, games and shows. Every location you visit gives you a chance to win a prize.
