Are you applying for an NIH, NSF, NEH or other grant opportunity that requires a Data Management Plan (DMP)? Join this workshop and come away understanding how to initiate and create a DMP—required increasingly by sponsors (and, as of 2023, by NIH). DMPs are essential to demonstrating long-term valuable impact of your research, excellent project management and foresight, and a commitment to reducing research waste— the Center for Research Data and Digital Scholarship (CRDDS) is here to provide support.

Data Librarians Matthew Murray and Aditya Ranganath will walk you through DMPTool—an online tool that helps you create a DMP—as well as provide information on CRDDS' Data Management Plan review service, templates & "boilerplate" language to use in proposals, data storage, sharing, and publishing options, and more. Principal Proposal Analyst at the Office of Contracts and Grants (OCG) Melissa Dunivant will go over NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy (DMSP) updates.
