Digital Scholarship Brown Bag: "Why We Share" with Libi Striegl (CMCI)
Digital Scholarship Brown Bags are forums for scholars to share how they're exploring computational and multimodal research methods and related pedagogical practices. Please join us for light refreshments (i.e. tea and cookies!) and conversation.
On Wednesday, April 10th, Libi Striegl (CMCI) will present, "Why We Share" on Open Source Software
We are taught pro-social skills like sharing in our formative years, but some seem to lose touch with those skills as adults. In this hands-on exploration of open-source software, hardware, and other-ware we will discuss the potentials (and pitfalls) of non-proprietary work. Structured around sharing as a community building practice, this is as much an exercise in community as it is an information session.
Wednesday, April 10 at 12:00pm to 1:00pm
