About this Event
2480 Kittredge Loop Rd. Boulder, CO 80310
https://www.colorado.edu/digital-accessibility/disability-awareness-monthTo celebrate Disability Awareness Month, also known as National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and the 50th anniversary of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Digital Accessibility Office will host a series of events in the month of October. We are also utilizing this month to reflect on where we have been and how we can continue to grow. We invite all participants to use this month to educate yourselves further and assess how you can advocate for individuals with disabilities and create and inclusive and accessible environment for all.
On Oct. 5, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Digital Accessibility Office is proud to host the Accessibility Resource Fair, an open-house style gathering of local off-campus organizations and on-campus resources dedicated to promoting accessibility and inclusivity for individuals with disabilities. This event will give attendees an opportunity to interact with representatives from these organizations and learn about the valuable services they offer, ranging from recreational sports and activities to networking and support.
The Accessibility Resource Fair is an excellent opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and advocates who are passionate about accessibility and disability rights. Forge connections, share experiences, and find support within this welcoming community.
The events are open to all CU Boulder students, staff, and faculty. We look forward to seeing you there and please do not hesitate to reach out at DigitalAccessibility@Colorado.EDU if you have any questions!
If you are unable to attend any of the scheduled events listed below, we have created a list of other opportunities and ways for you to celebrate and get involved! To learn more, visit the DAO Disability Awareness Month website.
