Join Dr. Zoe Donaldson, a Professor of Neuroscience at CU Boulder, to learn about the science of love and loss through the study of monogamous prairie voles. Prairie voles are small rodents about the size of a tennis ball. Whether in the laboratory or the wild, these small creatures form lifelong pair bonds akin to human romantic relationships - some might say they fall in love and experience loss similarly to humans. Through her fundamental research focused on how the brain changes as these animals form and lose bonds, she hopes to understand how to help grieving individuals cope and re-engage with life. She has been highlighted in the Economist and the Washington Post. All CU students, faculty, staff, alums, and community partners are welcome to attend - arrive at 5pm for pizza!
