An AIP national task force (TEAM-UP) recently released a report titled, “The Time is Now: Systemic Changes to Increase African Americans with Bachelor's Degrees in Physics and Astronomy.”  The report calls on the physics community to double the number of bachelor’s degrees in physics and astronomy awarded to African Americans by 2030.  At this Equity, Inclusion, and Cookies event, we will summarize the key findings and recommendations of the report, and then engage in small group discussion about how our department can work towards implementing the recommendations of the report.
