CU Engineering Alumni Network Launch in Seattle

Did you know there are over 1,000 CU Engineering alumni in Seattle? We're enhancing our alumni engagement efforts by developing regional networks to connect alumni, and Seattle is our next stop!

You're invited to join us at the Seattle Alumni Network Launch on Thursday, May 30 featuring Evan Thomas, Associate Professor and Director of the Mortenson Center in Engineering for Developing Communities at CU Boulder. Founded in 2003, the Mortenson Center works to address global poverty challenges, including access to clean water, safe sanitation, reliable household energy, and safe infrastructure. The team of students, faculty and staff develop and apply technologies and methods to improve the practice of global engineering. As the new director for the center, Evan is working to maximize the University's positive impact in the world.

At the event, you'll hear from Evan about current and future global engineering initiatives through the Mortenson Center. Our alumni engagement team will also share a brief update on exciting developments with our engagement efforts, and there will be ample time to meet and connect with your fellow engineering alumni.

An assortment of hors d'oeuvres, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available. This event is complimentary but we ask that you please register in advance by Monday, May 27.

Thursday, May 30 at 6:00pm to 8:00pm
