This seminar will focus on the technology tools beneficial for engineering graduate students to develop the skills necessary to be successful in applying to internships and jobs Learn how to how to identify the skills most in demand by employers depending on industry, job role and location. Discover technology tools to build effective resumes, develop strong interviewing and networking skills, and create an online presence that will get noticed by employers. Note: These tools are available to CU Boulder students for free.

Effective Job and Internship Search Strategies for Engineering Graduate Students

This seminar will focus on how to build an effective resume, cover letter and portfolio to stand out when applying for jobs and internships, including how to best represent the engineering graduate school experience and previous employment that may or may not be related to engineering. Learn how to effectively network, which is of value in light of the fact that 70-85% of jobs come through networking.
