Face to Face with the Radical Right
Join us for this virtual CU on the Weekend lecture as Assistant Professor Benjamin Teitelbaum from Ethnomusicology and International Affairs describes key episodes from his interactions with radical right figures, including long term-contact with white nationalist singer Saga, former Trump advisor Steve Bannon, and ideologue of the nationalist Sweden Democrats, Mattias Karlsson. His lecture explores the drawbacks scholars and journalists face when they initiate contact of this kind, but argues that it is nonetheless necessary to better understand the particulars of our historical moment and where politics and society are headed.
This Zoom webinar will be online, and the faculty speaker will determine the lecture format. This lecture will include a time for audience questions.
Advance registration is required and opens January 4. Go to our website to register: https://www.colorado.edu/outreach/ooe/cu-weekend/face-face-radical-right
