Favorite Eclipses

Join Dr. Doug Duncan as he dramatizes how the total eclipse of 1919 was utilized to prove that Einstein was indeed correct that space can bend in the way we now know produces the extraordinary objects known as black holes. Dr. Duncan will also talk about the Great American Eclipse of August 2017, and will show a video taken from the edge of space by CU students who launched a balloon during the total eclipse. He’ll finish the presentation by describing how and where you can see the upcoming total eclipse of July 2, 2019.
