What does it mean to be First Generation?

You are the first person in your direct family lineage to earn a college bachelor’s degree.

…Even if you have siblings, aunts and uncles, or cousins who have a bachelor’s  degree, if your parents and grandparents do not, you are First Generation.

…Even if your parents are currently in college, started college, or have an associate’s degree, you are First Generation.

…Even if you are just starting your college journey, you are First Generation.
