Adventures in Science is an exciting pilot to a science-education video aimed at middle school kids. The film is hosted by youths questioning how our world works and the storyline transports audiences to the Northern Slope of Alaska. There, scientists show how cutting-edge research is examining the nutrition locked in vegetation and how it provides caribou with just enough nutrients to survive the cold and dark winter weather. The video is innovative in that it tests the effectiveness of 'peer-to-peer education' techniques for engaging youths with concepts of nature, science and technology.
