futuresBoard 2051 is a two-part maker workshop for repurposing technology sourced from objects found at home or a digital file to create ‘artifacts from the future’. We can also help source materials for you.

To celebrate Earthday 2021, we are asking- what would the things we have look like in 2051? Would they be plastic or a more sustainable material? Better yet, could they be repurposed artifacts from the past? Do you have a larger vision like what houses or cities would look like? What about nature?

We know it’s a busy time, so if you’re creating a project for a class or capstone which may fit in the frame of futures and sustainability, you’re welcome to bring it to the workshop/s for further development and feedback.

We will be meeting on Zoom. Participants can attend one or both. At the end of the workshops, we will upload our work to https://padlet.com/circuitBoard/2051. After the second workshop on Earth Day, April 22, there will be an optional exhibition of our works on Mozilla Hubs.
