Gathering: Challenges and Possibilities for Women in Leadership at CU

This event is for faculty of all ranks. Academic literature exploring women in leadership positions in higher education have found that there are obstacles for women in obtaining leadership positions, as evidenced in the numbers of women leaders in senior administrative positions relative to their presence in academia, gender pay differentials, and a host of other glass ceilings. There may be ways to address these challenges, some of which we will speak to at this inaugural gathering. Here are some ways to begin thinking about how to move through some of these obstacles:

• Coalition building and Equity
• Pre-Meeting, Post-Meeting, and Everything In Between
• Survival strategies
• Speaking your Truth
• Work Balance within Work/Life Balance
• How Do I know if I'm Ready to Serve in Leadership?

This workshop is meant to open the conversation on these issues at CU Boulder. Come join us and share your perspectives.
