Girls Inspire: Engineering Your Spring Break

Girls Inspire: Engineering Your Spring Break is a two-day engineering camp held in Grand Junction, CO during Spring Break for girls in 2nd through 4th grade. Dates for 2023 will be held during District 51’s (D51) Spring Break (specifically March 20-21, 2023).

This program is in response to a successful and already-established “Girls Inspire” educational series hosted by the EUREKA! McConnell Science Museum, and a need for more engineering-specific educational opportunities for populations who traditionally do not pursue STEM disciplines. The University of Colorado Boulder Engineering Partnership Program with Colorado Mesa University provides camp instructors, who are undergraduate students in one of the disciplines offered in Grand Junction (mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and electrical and computer engineering). Curriculum is based on camp instructor expertise/ideas and often includes 3D printing, CAD design, or building electronic systems.

Register online (space is limited and fills on a first-come, first-served basis); https://eurekasciencemuseum.org/summer-2021-camps/.
