Many people have heard of GIS but are not quite sure what it’s all about. This mini-workshop is for anyone interested in a basic primer in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Phil White will provide an overview of GIS tools and concepts including spatial data structures and formats, projections and coordinate systems, basic analysis techniques, and popular software applications. This workshop is the first in the September Method of the Month Series.
