Graduate School 101: How to Plan Your Milestones
This workshop is designed for first and second-year graduate students looking for tools and strategies to tackle the unique challenges of graduate school. Undergraduate education involves more hands-on mentorship and instruction, but graduate school requires independent time management and long-term project organization skills.
In this workshop, we will outline the major milestones of graduate school: coursework, comprehensive exams, writing the proposal, publishing, writing the dissertation, and defending.
All graduate students need a five-year plan. This is a great first step to outlining the major steps in graduate school and when you should be accomplishing each step. Open to all graduate students.
