Happy Hour Squared (HH2)
Spring has Sprung!!! Celebrate the sun and the spring with HH^2 (Happy Hour Squared), sponsored by Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti. HH^2 is an opportunity for you to get acquainted with some of the technologies with excellent commercial potential coming out of CU Boulder’s laboratories, in a relaxed, informal atmosphere, while networking with other entrepreneurs, mentors, innovators, and CU Boulder's own Entrepreneurs-in-Residence.
At HH^2, you’ll join other community leaders at Upslope Brewing Company, where you’ll hear about one of the hottest innovations in the University of Colorado labs, PLUS get a “teaser” of upcoming featured technologies from one of our licensing executives. You'll also get updates on our Entrepreneur-in-Residence program, and learn about our newest feature, "First Look."
This month our featured innovator is Dr. Corrie Detweiler, Ph.D. in Biochemistry and leader of the eponymously named Detweiler Lab at CU/Boulder. Corrie will explore how infections are becoming more dangerous, because bacterial pathogens have become resistant to all of our classes of antibiotics. She and her team discovered small molecules that re-sensitize multi-drug resistant bacteria to standard antibiotics and, in collaboration with Crestone Inc., used medicinal chemistry to increase their potency.
Please RSVP no later than Monday, April 15 (by 5:00pm) so that we can get a good headcount for food and drink. And we encourage you to invite like-minded individuals who might have an interest in connecting with our innovation community.
We’ll provide the appetizers, the beer, and the companies; YOU provide the commentary.
Wednesday, April 17 at 4:00pm to 6:00pm
