How to Fund Your Research

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and Graduate School invite postdocs and graduate students to an informational session to learn how to identify funding using a variety of tools.

Donna Axel of the Research & Innovation Office will walk through how to set up discipline specific funding alerts through SPIN, an online database of funding opportunities. She will also highlight philanthropic databases and Dimensions, a platform providing information on funders and collaborators, including the ability to search by abstracts.

Lunch will be provided. RSVP required via the CU Events Calendar by clicking "I'm Interested."

The first 40 minutes were navigating to the website. Knowing how to set up a search was really useful and why I went, but I had to leave before learning how to use Dimensions. Its hard to find 2.5 hours in the middle of the day to attend these (walking over from NOAA), and really frustrating when 40 minutes is spent navigating to a URL.
