In-Depth Session: Grant Administration

Uncovering the Layers of Federal Regulations & Policies

Intended Audience: This session is intended for research administrators and/or researchers who are looking to deepen their understanding of post award administration around federal grants and cooperative agreements.

Course Description:

Find out what happens behind the scenes of a Grant Officer’s decision-making process when it comes to the layers of federal policies and regulations governing grants and cooperative agreements. While there may be some flexibility with sponsor approval, this is not always the case! OCG Grant Officers will take participants through a few case studies to unpack what goes into the complex process of finding the right answer to your question about post award administration. By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the layers of federal regulations and policies
  • Recognize scenarios when it is imperative to contact the OCG Grant Officer for deeper analysis
