About this Event
Attend the Inclusive Research Mentoring: Promoting Independence and Self-Efficacy for Graduate Students and Postdocs with Preston Cumming and Loren Hough:
An important goal in any mentoring relationship is helping the mentee become independent. Yet, defining what an independent mentee knows and can do is often not articulated by the mentor or the mentee and has become increasingly complex in the context of highly collaborative projects. This training will help you define what independence looks like and develop skills to foster independence so you can become an effective mentor.
