Award-winning actress and advocate Lily Gladstone (Blackfeet and Nez Perce Tribal Nations) is the keynote speaker for CU Boulder's 2025 Indigenous Peoples Day celebration. Ms. Gladstone will reflect on the guidance ancestral wisdom provides in shaping contemporary Indigenous identities and movements. She will also share personal insights into how her own ancestors have informed her journey, emphasizing their vital role in envisioning pathways toward sustainable and equitable global futures.
Following her keynote, Ms. Gladstone will join a moderated discussion. This dialogue will delve into themes of Indigenous sovereignty, environmental justice, cultural resilience, and the transformative power of storytelling.
Through this event, we seek to foster meaningful reflection, conversation and action, while honoring Indigenous legacies and courageously envisioning the future.
